Thank You Notes!!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we sit down with our families and think of the many blessings that we must be thankful for during this unsettling time, our resilient and tirelessly working medical staff (Doctors, Nurses, Medical Assistance, Front Desk Support, Custodians, etc.) within Spokane county hospitals are who come to mind, and who need our love, support, and compassion more than ever right now to help get them through this trying time.
As a West Valley Community, we are asking for students/families to support our local, Holy Family Hospital, ER medical staff by having your child hand write and draw personalized Thank You notes. If you and your child would like to show your gratitude to our local Holy Family ER medical staff, please have your Thank You notes and drawings completed by Friday April 17th and turned into Pasadena Park Elementary. There will be a labeled drop box in the front office at each school for you to place your Thank You notes in by 1:00pm on Friday.
Not only do we want to show our gratitude to our health care providers in Spokane, but thank you notes hold great importance in helping shape our children. When children can write and send thank you notes, it allows them to show gratitude, empathy, and respect in a meaningful way and it gives the recipients a greater sense of weight and appreciation for all they are doing. Learning to be grateful is a crucial life skill that shows compassion and empathy for those around us. It also helps us develop stronger relationships that promote happiness and joy in all our lives.
Our local Holy Family Hospital, ER staff and all other medical providers are truly Medical Angles who put their own lives on the line every single day and night to protect our community in this time of need. Please show your appreciation by writing a thoughtful Thank You note.
There is also a brief instructional video on Pasadena Park Elementary’s Facebook page (Take a look) 😊
Sincerely,
The West Valley Elementary Counseling Team
